"Thank you to you and all your caregivers for taking care of Mom over the last year and a half when she was at home. It made a big difference that she had help when she moved back home. Her helpers kept her social, baking, helping with laundry, and other household chores. After she got used to having someone else in her house, she enjoyed their personalities and really appreciated the help.
Most recently, my brothers and I really appreciate the way you stepped up and were able to increase the time so that someone was with mom from twice a week to 4 hours every day to eventually 24 hours. Thank you to all those ladies who changed their schedules in order to take a shift and then had to deal with a very difficult situation as mom continued to act out and behave unpredictably. This last month has been traumatic for all of us but having the caregivers there when we couldn't be there was a big blessing.

"It's never easy to realize that your family needs more help than the family can provide on its own, and the decision to reach for outside support can be difficult. In 2017, my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. My parents live in a house on their own and for the past five years, I watched my mom's mobility and level of independence steadily decrease, and my dad's level of stress and responsibility significantly increases.
